Even after going public in 2020 to cap off its growing popularity, Airbnb doesn’t yet have its own loyalty program. That means unlike hotel chains like Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, and more, there are no points you can earn when you book a stay with Airbnb – and no way to redeem Airbnb points for a free night stay through Airbnb…

… at least not directly. But there are still credit cards points and miles you can use to book Airbnbs – then use them to redeem for a free stay through the platform. Thanks to a Chase Bank partnership with Airbnb and a few credit cards from Capital One (including a brand new one), there are some great credit card options for booking your next Airbnb.

So let's go over the best Airbnb credit cards and how you can use them to drastically reduce the cost of your next stay.

The Best Airbnb Credit Cards for Your Next Stay

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is a great option when it comes to booking an Airbnb. To start with, you'll earn 2x Chase Ultimate Rewards points for every dollar you spend on travel. Yes, that includes Airbnb.

The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card

Another great credit card option for booking Airbnb stays is the new Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, which launched last November. The card currently offers 75,000 Capital One Venture Miles after spending $4,000 in the first three months of card membership.

By using the Capital One Purchase eraser, you can use your hard-earned Venture Miles to pay for your next stay.

It couldn't be any easier. All you need to do is use your card to pay for an Airbnb. Once that charge posts to your card statement, you can log in and use the purchase eraser to completely remove it from your statement. When you do this, each Capital One Venture Mile is worth one cent. That means a $500 Airbnb could be paid for with 50,000 Venture Miles.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve®

Think of the Chase Sapphire Reserve as the bigger sibling of the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card.

It earns the same points, but comes with a number of premium benefits like a $300 annual travel credit, up to a $100 credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck, lounge access, and more. But all of these benefits push the card's annual fee up to $550 each year.

That $300 travel credit will work towards an Airbnb stay.

But one of the biggest upsides over the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card is that your points will be worth 1.5 cents when you use them through the Chase Travel Portal.

The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card

Last but not least on this list is the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card. If the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card is the smaller sibling of the Chase Sapphire Reserve, think of the Capital One Venture as the little sibling of the Capital One Venture X Rewards Card.

Every purchase on the card will earn 2 miles per dollar spent, and the points can then be redeemed for a statement credit against eligible travel purchases, such as Airbnb. Just like the Venture X Card, miles earned from the Capital One Venture card will be worth one cent each through the  Capital One Purchase Eraser. Just pay for your Airbnb stay with your Venture Card and remove it once it posts to your account.

Bottom Line

Even though Airbnb doesn't have a loyalty program of its own, you can use Capital One Venture Miles to completely cover the cost of your next stay. These four cards are the best options to earn points on an Airbnb booking.
